The location of this little rustic cottage was absolutely mind-blowing! It was so cozy and the kitchen facilities were super impressive - they had everything you could possibly need, including a fancy coffee maker, grater, peeler, and a variety of pots and pans. The instructions for everything in the house were the clearest I've ever seen. The big bath tub was perfect for a relaxing soak after a day of jaw-dropping hiking. And the free parking right outside was a grand bonus. Plus, being pet-friendly and within walking distance of the town center and the lake made it the perfect spot for a fantastic self-catering stay. Can't fault it at all!

The kitchen is fully equipped, making it perfect for families like us who love to cook homemade meals.
Personally, I preferred the bathroom with a shower rather than the one with a bath or shower.

The location was perfect, allowing me to easily explore the charming village and enjoy the beauty of the nearby lake. The cozy and rustic atmosphere of the cottage made me feel right at home, and the kitchen facilities were well-equipped with everything I needed. The clear and concise instructions provided were helpful, ensuring that I could make the most of my stay. And after a long day of hiking, the big bathtub was a luxurious treat for a soothing soak. I had a wonderful experience at Heather Cottage and would highly recommend it to others looking for a cozy retreat in the Lake District.
While the hotel had a charming and rustic feel, there were a couple of areas that could use some attention. The small single bed was a bit worn and could benefit from being replaced in the near future.

The holiday home at Heather Cottage was super cozy and homey, making us feel right at ease. The fully equipped kitchen was a game-changer for us foodies, allowing us to whip up delicious meals. It felt like cooking in our own place!
The only thing that didn't quite hit the spot was the single bathroom with a bath or shower. We would have loved an additional bathroom for more flexibility.

Title: Great Stay, like a Dream. This holiday home had it all - a private entrance , a dishwasher , and even free WiFi.
Oh, just a minor inconvenience, really. The wind outside sometimes made a weird noise, like a ghost.

The location of the cottage was fantastic, just a short walk into the heart of town and close to the beautiful lake. The kitchen facilities were great, providing everything we needed for our self-catering stay. We were impressed with the variety of pots and pans, and even had a cafetiere for our coffee fix. The clear instructions for using all the amenities in the cottage were a nice touch. the cozy atmosphere and the big bathtub for a relaxing soak after our hikes were definite highlights.
We found the property to be a bit dated and in need of some TLC. The furnishings were old-fashioned and not very comfortable, and some areas of the cottage seemed lacking in cleanliness.
